Hydraulic or mechanical decoiler?
The difference is not just capacity: how the mandrel clamps, how the coil is braked and how it is loaded onto the shaft all change.

Choose hydraulic if
- Your coils are above 5 tonnes
- You change coils frequently during a shift
- Your line speed is high and controlled braking is needed
Mechanical is enough if
- Your coils are under 2.5 tonnes and narrow
- Coil changes are infrequent
- You need to keep the investment as low as possible
In short
With heavy coils and frequent changes, hydraulic pays for itself quickly through operator time and safety. For narrow strip and light coils, the mechanical series is still the most economical solution.
