Frequently asked questions
How thick can you go on structural profiles?
Thickness alone does not decide it — thickness multiplied by the material's yield strength does. High-strength steel at the same thickness demands a markedly heavier line than mild steel. That is why we ask for the material grade alongside the thickness range at quotation stage.
Does the line have to stop when profile length changes?
No. Cut length is servo controlled and called from the recipe, so it can be changed while the line runs. Changing the section is a different matter — that means changing the roll tooling.
