Common questions
Does forming damage the coating on painted sheet?
Not with the right roll design and surface hardness. The station count is what decides it: build the section in stages rather than in one step and the material is not forced. Since the coating will sit outdoors on the finished product, this is directly a question of service life — we ask for the sheet's coating type at quotation stage.
How long does changing the profile section take?
Changing the section means changing the roll tooling, which is a different job from changing the length. Cut length is servo controlled and called from the recipe, so it changes while the line runs. How long a section change takes depends on whether the tooling is built on the line or off it in a cassette.
